[Understanding Living]

This prototype was created by a startup I co-founded to create functional user assessment of buildings and spaces, from pre-construction, to post-occupation.  The concept was to support the building and contracting sectors with resources that more easefully and cost-effectively engage clients in the design process, and identify issues early for cost-effectiveness.  A previously weighty task is made more accessible through an online facility and multi-modal digital inhabitance of spaces from multiple perspectives.  

The video above shows entry into our application and a view of part of the journeys of 4 specific users through a single space, from their perspective, ambulation style and capacity.

The team also includes Dr Ben Sellar, Program Director, Occupational Therapy at University of South Australia, with software engineering, business advice and funding support from Daintree Systems.
